Registering Login

• How do I get started on smitees?

  Simply click the register link at the top of the page. Fill out your details and decide whether you want top run a gallery or store. Once you have completed the registration, you can start adding your own products to the site.

• Can I change my username?

  Your username cannot be changed, so choose wisely. If you are running a gallery through "smitees", your username will become your link to your gallery, eg http://www.smitees.co.uk/username.

• Why can't I login?

  You must have either your username or password wrong. To retrieve your username use this form.

• Where is my confirmation email? I don't think I received one!

  Ok, a few things may have gone wrong.

  1. First off, make sure you have the correct email address. I know this is simple, but it is a common mistake.
  2. Check your Spam folders. Your email server may think we are sending you Spam, so check here.
  3. Add our email address to your address book. This will make sure our emails aren’t thought of as Spam by your email client.
  4. And a good last resort is to contact us. We will look into what is happening for you.
• I can't remember my password, what should I do?

  Don't worry , this happens to everyone from time to time. You can enter your email address at this page, follow the steps and you can reset your password.

• I can't remember my username, can I still login?

  If I forgot my username and/or password and/or email address, what can I do?

Account Info

• How do I change my password?

  You can change your password once you login to "smitees". Once you have logged in , you can go to your profile. Here you will see a link to your account information. At the bottom of this section you can reset your password.

• How do I change my PayPal information?

  You can change your PayPal information once you login to "smitees". Once you have logged in , you can go to your profile. Here you will see a link to your account information. At the bottom of the page you will see an area to enter your PayPal information. Remember, you must enter you PayPal username and password before you start receiving commissions from us.

• How do I delete my "smitees" account?

  Login to "smitees", go to your profile and you will see a link to account information, click this. At the bottom of the page will be a delete account button.

• I never receive emails form "smitees", what is happening?

  We have a few suggestions to help you get our emails.

Public Profile

• What is my public profile?

  Your public profile displays information you wish to present to your customers about yourself, it is linked to your gallery. Your gallery displays your products for sale.

• What is an Avatar?

  An avatar is a small square image that displays through various places within the site to represent you. For instance, it is within your profile, or when you make a comment in the forums. It is a great value add giving a personal touch for people looking at your profile.

• How do I add/upload an Avatar?

  Login to "smitees", go to your profile. You will see a link to public profile, click this link. Here you will be able to upload a .jpg, .gif or .png. This will be used as your avatar. You can change this at anytime by following the instructions listed.

• How do I edit a Biography?

  Login to "smitees", go to your profile. You will see a link to public profile, click this link. Here you will see a text area allowing you to write information about yourself. This is a great area for self promotion. Once you have edited the text, click "save" and it will update your profile.

• Can I format my Biography?

  No, currently we are limiting formatting ability within your biography. This may be changed at a later date.

Site Features

• What are the Forums?

  The forums are a great way to communicate with your fellow "smitees" users. You can join in discussions on a particular topic, ask questions, even answer questions.

• How do I find a product?

  There are many ways you can find the product you are looking for. Browsing the categories is a really easy way to find what you are after. You can always narrow the categories by topic, this will give a more exact result to what you are looking for.

  Another way is to use the search functionality. Type in the product name or description of the product and our search will do its best in finding what you are after.

• How can I find other products designed by a particular user?

  When you are viewing a product, you will see an area that highlights the creator of that product. You can click on the user and you will be taken to their public profile and gallery. Here you can see all the products that user has created. It’s great for finding similar products that you like, really easily.

Ordering

• Can I change an Order?

  Once you have placed an order, you have 2 hours to make any changes to that order. Changes can be anything that does not effect the price of the item. So this may be a size (if it doesn’t effect the price), a color, (again if it doesn’t effect the price), or even the layout of the design.

  To change an order, login to "smitees" and click you username. This will take you to your profile. Here you can click my purchases. Your purchase will be listed, and you can click "edit design". Once the order has been placed longer than two hours, you can no longer edit your design.

• Can I Cancel an Order?

  No, once you have gone through the payment procedure, you cannot cancel your order.

• What Payment Methods do you accept?
